Equipment

  • 1 Food processor

Ingredients
 
 

  • 500 g Tofu Soft regular tofu
  • 4 tablespoon Caper brine
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Minced onions
  • 3 tablespoon Minced capers aprox 65g
  • 1 Minced Garlic cloves small

Instructions
 

  • Add the tofu (crumble it into smaller pieces with your hands), capers brine, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and salt into the food processor and blend till smooth and creamy (aprox 5 minutes or more depending on the power of your food processor)
  • Add the minced onion, garlic, and minced capers to the food processor and mix gently with a spatula till well combined (do not blend just mix and combine them with a spatula or spoon).
    Alternatively, you can use a bowl for this last step but I prefer to use the bowl of the food processor to avoid having an extra dish to wash
  • Add the mixture into an airtight glass container and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours so that the ingredients have time to combine and give you the extra burst of flavors
  • Enjoy

Notes

This high-protein, low-calorie vegan Tartar sauce combines great with almost every dish that uses Tartar sauce as an ingredient. 
I love to combine it with potato wedges, corn, and chickpeas or add it as dressing to salads for an extra burst of flavor.
