This soft and tender steamed aubergines with spicy miso sauce recipe is so simple yet full of flavors and aromas opening the next level in the game of aubergines cooking
Start by adding water to a pan and bring it to a boil
Wash the aubergines (eggplants) and cut them into medium size cubes
Steam them for about 20 minutes using a bamboo steamer or any other type of steamer you have
Remove the steamer from the pot and leave to cool a bit
Prepare the spicy miso sauce
In a small bowl combine the remaining ingredients: miso, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, maple syrup, lemon juice, sesame oil, Sriracha sauce, and water, and mix until well combined into a sauce
Pour the sauce on the aubergines still warm, mix till well combined
Sprinkle on top the sesame seeds and enjoy
Notes
You can eat it right away still warm but I recommend letting them infuse a bit before serving for a greater flavor experience.You can serve it as such or accompanied by some basmati rice. Just tasty!
